國際排聯宣布意大利將主辦「FIVB世界排球聯賽2021」男女子賽事

【2021年3月17日 - 香港】國際排球聯會（國際排聯）於上周五（3月12日）宣布，意大利里米尼市將以安全氣泡形式主辦「FIVB世界排球聯賽2021」男女子賽事，以確保運動員在新冠肺炎疫情下能安全作賽。

今年1月，世界排球聯賽理事會批准安全氣泡概念，整個男女子賽事將會在一個安全氣泡內進行。國際排聯指，有超過6個國家在公開招標過程中表達主辦意向。經對所有申請進行評估，並以各申請國之設施、活動主辦經驗及舉辦安全活動的能力為主要考慮因素，國際排聯最後選定由意大利主辦今屆男女子賽事。女子準決賽及決賽將分別於6月24日及25日舉行，而男子準決賽及決賽將分別於6月26日及27日舉行。

原定於2021年6月在香港體育館舉行之「FIVB世界女排聯賽香港2021」原為「FIVB世界排球聯賽2021」其中一站女子分站賽事。因應上述國際排聯之決定，香港排球總會將不會舉辦「FIVB世界女排聯賽香港2021」，並期望來年可再次為香港球迷帶來萬眾期待的年度體壇盛事。

FIVB announced Italy to host
Women’s and Men’s “FIVB Volleyball Nations League 2021”

(Hong Kong – 17 March 2021) The Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (“FIVB”) announced on last Friday (12 March 2021) that the city of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy will host the Women’s and Men’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2021 in a secure bubble to ensure athletes are able to compete safely under the COVID-19 outbreak.

The secure bubble concept was approved by the VNL Council in January, the competitions will be accommodated and compete in a single secure bubble for the whole event. FIVB said that there are more than 6 countries expressed an interest in hosting the event in the open bidding process. After evaluating all applications with each applying country’s facilities, event hosting experience and security capacity to host a safe and secure event as the primary considerations, FIVB had decided that Italy will host the Women’s and the Men’s VNL2021. The Women’s semi-finals and finals will be held on 24 and 25 June respectively, and the Men’s matches will be played on 26 and 27 June respectively.

The preliminary round of “FIVB Volleyball Nations League 2021”, originally planned to be held in June in Hong Kong will be cancelled. We hope to bring this long-awaited annual sports event to Hong Kong volleyball fans again next year.
